1. Introduction

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owner.

Linen Lab uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and improve your experience. We use three categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function and cannot be disabled
  • Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors interact with the site; only activated with your explicit consent
  • Third-party cookies — set by integrated services such as payment processors and error monitoring tools

2. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for basic site operation. They are always active and do not require your consent, as the website cannot function without them.

Authentication

Linen Lab uses Supabase for user authentication. Supabase sets session cookies to keep you securely signed in across pages and browser sessions. These cookies also provide CSRF (cross-site request forgery) protection to safeguard your account from unauthorised actions.

Session Management

Session management cookies ensure that as you navigate through the website your login state is preserved, so you are not required to re-authenticate on every page. These cookies expire when you sign out or, for persistent sessions, after a defined period.

Essential cookies cannot be disabled. Blocking or deleting them through your browser settings will prevent you from signing in and using the core features of this website.

3. Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog helps us understand how visitors use Linen Lab so we can identify areas for improvement and build better features.

PostHog analytics cookies collect the following types of information:

  • Page views and navigation paths through the website
  • Feature usage — which parts of the application you interact with
  • User journeys — how visitors move through the ordering and account workflows
  • General geographic region (country level) and browser information

This data is used solely to improve the Linen Lab service. We do not use analytics data for advertising or share it with advertising networks.

Analytics cookies are blocked by default and are only enabled when you provide explicit consent through our cookie banner. If you choose not to consent, PostHog will not be initialised and no analytics data will be collected from your session.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Cookies may also be set by third-party services that are integrated into the Linen Lab website. These cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties.

Stripe

Stripe is our payment processing provider. When you proceed through checkout, Stripe may set cookies to support fraud prevention and to ensure PCI DSS compliance. These cookies are set by Stripe's secure payment forms and are necessary to safely process your payment. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.

Sentry

Sentry is our error tracking and application monitoring service. Sentry may use cookies for session identification so that when an error occurs it can be associated with the relevant session context, helping us diagnose and resolve issues more effectively. Error reports are automatically scrubbed to exclude personally identifiable information before transmission.

5. Managing Cookies

You have several options for controlling the cookies that are set on your device.

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit Linen Lab, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Only essential cookies are active before you make a choice. Accepting analytics cookies enables PostHog to collect usage data; rejecting them keeps analytics blocked for your session.

Browser Settings

You can manage cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions:

  • Chrome— Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox— Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari— Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge— Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Withdrawing Consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner. Withdrawing consent will stop any non-essential cookies from being set in future sessions. It does not retroactively remove cookies that have already been placed; you can delete those through your browser settings.
